Ranchers & Neighbors Protecting Our Water

Ranchers & Neighbors Protecting Our Water is a group of concerned citizens dedicated to preserving and protecting the quality and quantity of the groundwater in Crook County, Wyoming and surrounding areas for now and future generations.
The primary focus thus far has been on the threat presented by the process of In-situ Leaching of uranium (ISL), which is rapidly spreading throughout the county and state. Test drilling has already begun at various sites in Crook County, with many of these companies expected to apply for permits to continue into the ISL processing of uranium.
The group is working with a larger network of people including groups from Nebraska, Colorado, and S. Dakota, who are all focusing on this issue in their states as well.
