Get ready for an inspiring evening with the 16th Annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival with two different opportunities to attend. The first event will be on Saturday, Sept. 22nd from 4:00 – 6:00 pm in Cheyenne at the Atlas Theater, and the second showing will be Saturday, Oct. 6th from 4:00 – 6:00 pm in Laramie at the Biodiversity Center on the University of Wyoming campus.

The Wild & Scenic Film Festival is an exhilarating event motivating people to preserve their natural resources and improve their communities. Both Wyoming events will feature 10 short films covering a range of issues related to conservation of wildlife, water, and public lands, plus a few thrilling adventure pieces that remind us of why we must protect our wild places. Tickets are $10 per person or $5 for students with a valid ID. All ages are welcome.

In addition to the films, there is a Wild & Scenic Film Festival Raffle, which encompasses both events. Winners will be drawn on Oct. 8th. Raffle items include a custom fly rod and two-night cabin stay in Jackson, a six-week fitness camp, and gym memberships. Tickets are $10 each, and winners need not be present to win.

The film festival is being hosted by Powder River Basin Resource Council, Wyoming Outdoor Council, and the University of Wyoming Environment and Natural Resources Club. For more information on the film festivals, contact Powder River at 307-672-5809 or stephaniea@powderriverbasin.org
