MDU Rate Hike Public Hearing
Powder River Basin Resource Council if you have 2 minutes, please watch this video. We put it together from public testimony at a hearing concerning rate hikes stemming from the utility serving the Sheridan area (MDU)'s investment in a coal plant. It's a 25% overall rate hike, but some classes, such as irrigation, are getting particularly hard hit. We have opposed the rate hike along with a bunch of other community stakeholders....(02/10/2010)

As president of the nonprofit Crossroads Resource Center in Minneapolis, Meter works with communities and their allies to foster democracy and local self-determination. He specializes in devising tools communities can use to create a more sustainable future. His “Finding Food in Farm Country” studies have promoted local food networks in 83 regions in 30 states and one Canadian province. His presentation will highlight the role of local food in economic development and suggest steps we can all take to support our community through support of our farmers.(04/11/2013)
